First Birthday

Welcome to a brand new week in a brand new month!  We're starting off here with my little neighbor's first birthday.  I looked for an age-appropriate image, added bright colors, and avoided any small parts she might be able to pick off.  The stamp is a Bugaboo digi called Ice Cream Dog.

The polka dot presents are brads which I've had in my stash forever.  I'm thinking she'd have to be a very strong and nimble-fingered one year old to pick off these brads.  Kids can surprise you, but I'm sure Mom will keep a watchful eye.  Does anyone still use brads?

After covering the white card base with polka dot paper I ran it through the Big Shot with Lil' inker Silly Stitched Die Set.  The largest die leaves an impression, but doesn't cut.  I like that.  The image was cut with a smaller die in the same set.  Copic colored, Stickles glitter added.

Moving along... lots of stamping on the agenda.  I'll pop back on Wednesday.  Till then, take care and have a good week!

Stamps:  Bugaboo Ice Cream Dog digital, Your Next Stamp Whatnot Sentiments Eleven  Paper:  X-Press It Blending Card, other white for card base, yellow, Echo Park Fine and Dandy designer paper  Ink:  Printer, Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics for coloring  Accessories:  Brads, ribbon, Stickles Stardust glitter glue, Lil' inker Silly Stitched Die Set

  1. Very cute and perfect card for a one year old after all what little one wouldn't love an ice cream eating puppy...she is sure to giggle!! As for the brads, I still use them now and then, I think they add a lot at times and of course like you I am sure, I have plenty of them! See you on Wednesday!!

  2. Leslie, this is a perfect card for a one year old. No matter what the occasion and for whom you always seem to have the perfect image. This puppy is so darn cute. Love the polka dot paper and your matching polka dot brads. I too have tons of brads, but then again seldom use them. Thanks for sharing today, looking forward to Wednesday's post. See you then!

  9. Leslie, I still have brads but it has been a long time since I've used them! These make the cutest addition to your card, perfect for a one year old! I think the Mom will keep watch and you're safe. You know I LOVE the polka dots in these happy colors, and a dog is always my favorite! The ice cream is well - the icing on the ...cake. Fabulous and fun!

  16. Oh my goodness is that ever too cute, I love the sparkle you brought to it and I do love the present brads. I really need to look at all my image brads and start using them, I have them put away and never think to use them. I do love the wonky stitched dies but still haven't broken down and bought any, they work great with the image :) Like your ribbon in the corner, I have so much ribbon but don't use it often enough.
