Here Comes Santa Double D Challenge

Hello again and welcome to another Double D challenge!  Santa will be here before you know it, so that's our challenge today -- Here Comes Santa!

And here's my card made with Power Poppy's Flowering Santa:

Our inspiration board:

And a prize for a random winner:

The snowy Santa in the middle of the inspiration board was my jumping off point.  I watercolored with a combination of Tombow markers and Spectrum Noir sparkle pens.  The snowflake dies were coated with micro-fine glitter.  The snowflake dots were made with a white pearl pen, then sprinkled with micro-fine glitter.

I know there's going to be awe-inspiring entries for this challenge.  You all have knocked my socks off many times!  Team Darlene and Team Diane have lots for you to see on the Double D blog, too, so hop over to check them out, and then play along with your own Santa.  Enjoy!

  6. Oh WOW!! Leslie, what a spectacular card!!! This is a big image that really requires perfect positioning on the card front.
You colored with the traditional Christmas colors but added beautiful purples and blues, love the details of the snowflakes and those bright red and white dots made with the gel pens, I must get me some of that.
    Thank you for sharing.

When I first saw this Santa in the release I thought, hmmm not sure if I would use it or not, but after seeing your Santa and how you displayed him on your card - I think I need this stamp set! 15. Marcella is an incredible artist the way she incorporates Nature into the human "things" of life. This Santa is one of a kind, and the way you have colored him, Leslie, is even more amazing. One of the things I really like is the genuine cheerfulness in those crinkled eyes! I can just imagine the merriment in Marcella's heart as she drew this - what a delightful image! I also like the way you have presented him at an angle, making room for the sentiment - genius idea! And brings so much life and motion to the image, too! WONDERFUL CARD, Miss Leslie - in every way! xx
