We had about 70% coverage here in New York during the eclipse so it didn't really get dark and there was no dramatic change in temperature. However, I know exactly what you mean about the light being different -- a bit eerie if you asked me. And the shadows were fascinating! I am saving my glasses for 2024 and already planning to be in the zone of totality!Lindahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17586708280127654402noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3726403261110080226.post-56396066118749712852017-08-25T02:59:59.404-07:002017-08-25T02:59:59.404-07:00Beautiful cards, they might be quick but they are ...Beautiful cards, they might be quick but they are still gorgeous! We had about 81% of the eclipse here, making it a little eerie out, I was at Michael's (or just going in the store) when it hit, I was amazed at how many people were looking directly up at it when they were warned not too. I kept my sun visor down on my card as not to take any chances lol!Dianehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16568289914571514273noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3726403261110080226.post-81832025457462262992017-08-24T08:10:41.980-07:002017-08-24T08:10:41.980-07:00Both of these are just gorgeous! I think I was one of the few people in Lincoln that didn't get to. My end of town had a lot of cloud cover right as it happened and I saw nothing! What a waste of my glasses! Had I known it was going to fizzle, I would have driven to the other side of town where they all got a perfect view! And the second one is fabulous with the brayered background with the amazing die...and I love the "get well soon" die with it. Beautifully done! I know what you mean about needing more and more cards. Never ends, but it's fun to make them! We experienced some of the eclipse, and it was fascinating to see the difference in the lighting and even the temperature. Walt made us a little DIY viewer to see the crescent image. It's amazing!
