A Wreath from my Heart

Hi there!  I have a very bright and whimsical card today as I colored one of my new Bugaboo digi stamps.  It's let your hair down kind of stamping -- color it up and then have all kinds of fun with the card design.  The digi stamp is called Floral Wreath 01.

Bright, isn't it?  I popped the color all the more by matting the wreath on black and then bright yellow.  Added a doubled up die cut bow and some hearts and an oldie-but-cutie CTMH sentiment which had just the perfect fun font for the wreath.  Then I figured since I used bumble bee colors for the card I might as well add a bumble bee.  See him there with his vellum wings?

Some cards are just too much fun!

Supplies are listed below my signature.  Have a happy day!

Stamps:  Bugaboo Floral Wreath 01, CTMH sentiment  Paper:  Neenah Classic Crest Super Smooth Solar White, Bazzill black and amythest, Stampin' Up! Polka Dot Parade designer paper  Ink:  Printer, Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics for coloring  Accessories:  Copic Spica black glitter pen (which doesn't show in the photo), Scotch brand foam mounting tape to pop up bee  Dies:  Memory Box Stitched Circle Layers, Impression Obsession Large Bow (tails cut off), Tutti Designs Stitched Nesting Hearts, Frantic Stamper Ladybug & Bee

Fun and fabulous card Leslie! Your colours are awesome, so bright, love the yellow polka dot card base along with the black background, sure makes your image pop. Your added bow and bee are super cute! A great way to start my day. Thanks as always for your wonderful comments on our photo's, and yes that is a little critter in her talons! Most people that saw the 2 Sandhill cranes thought the same that it was a reflection as well, but your right it's not. I love that picture. Anyway, sorry got sidetracked a bit, thanks for sharing today, I can always count on you starting my Monday's off with a smile. Have a happy day!

Wow, this just pops! I love every little detail on this one and layering it on black just makes it totally wonderful! The yellow polka dot base just is the perfect beginning for this lovely card!

How exquisitely gorgeous, Leslie! I love the drama of the yellow and black, and your dimension in the Bugaboo image is amazing! Beautifully colored and just makes me feel happy, right down to the busy bumble bee! I am especially partial to bumble bees because they are hard workers in my container garden. I've not seen any "regular" bees yet this Spring, but the hummingbirds and several wasp varieties are enjoying the "dregs" of last year's blooms. I hate pruning my angel wing begonias for that reason, but must do it soon! LOVELY card! hugs, de

What a bright and fun card to start the week! You are right - the background colors do make the image pop. The die heart adds to the cuteness and the bumblebee as well. Have a great week!

Beautifully colored wreath, you have such a great knack for using the perfect shades together. That black matting does make it pop so well, I need to try matting with black. Love your little addition of your bee, I haven't used mine in so long, I need to break him out :)
Love your layering of your dies, wonderful embellishing once again!

I love this bold, bright design because I believe it shows your fantastic range of skill and talent. Personally, I love that black background. Not enough designers use it IMHO. I noticed the butterfly right away and love the use of vellum for the wings - a wonderful choice!

Oh my gosh, I hadn't even noticed that bee until I saw the closeup! Honestly, Leslie, we all know your coloring is superior, but your eye for design is also unequaled! Using a black background, surrounded by yellow polkie-dots in a square shape is perfection, as are the sweet matching beribboned hearts and darling bee!! Hugs, Darnell

I need to remember that phrase about a let-your-hair-down kind of card! So fun but not at all ordinary! What a fabulous design with perfect details like vellum wings and paying attention to the sentiment font. Another beauty, Leslie! Of course with polka dots and yellow, it's love for me at first sight.
